The Budget Center hosted an online panel discussion of what the latest Census data say about poverty in California and what can be done to address economic insecurity in our state. The Perspectives on Poverty discussion was based on the impact of economic hardship in California, from both the state and local perspective, and how policy change and other approaches could substantially reduce poverty and help more individuals and families advance. Panelists included:
