About Policy Insights
We gather at a pivotal moment that calls us to protect the progress Californians have fought for, uplift communities, and champion the values that define the Golden State. Despite ongoing challenges, California remains one of the wealthiest regions in the world, with the resources to ensure everyone can access basic needs such as food, health care, housing, child care, and a strong safety net for tough times. It’s up to us to make that a reality.
As we face obstacles from a hostile federal administration, it’s more important than ever to defend policies that safeguard the well-being of all Californians. This includes protecting inclusive public programs, dismantling systemic racism, and centering the voices of Black, brown, and other historically underrepresented communities.
The California Budget & Policy Center’s Policy Insights Conference gathers the state’s leading policy experts, advocates, and community leaders to exchange ideas and strategize for a more equitable and inclusive California. As we celebrate 30 years of advancing justice, equity, and progressive public policies, we invite you to help shape a future that prioritizes opportunity for all Californians.
Following the conference, celebrate three decades of advancing justice, equity, and progressive public policies at the California Budget & Policy Center’s 30th Anniversary Reception. From 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., connect with fellow attendees and reflect on 30 years of milestones and impact.
